OLD FASHIONED SOUTHERN TEA CAKES

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  10. Remove the tea cakes from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.
  11. Transfer the tea cakes to a wire rack to cool completely.
