Homemade Lemon Soap Recipe for Laundry

Commercial soaps often lack the quality they once had, leaving clothes with stains, altered colors, and damaged fabrics. To ensure your laundry gets the treatment it deserves, why not make your own soap at home? With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a high-quality soap that gets the job done. Follow these steps carefully to make the perfect homemade lemon soap.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups of cold water
  • 2 bars of glycerin soap
  • 2 fluid ounces of alcohol
  • 10 tablespoons of regular sugar
  • 6 tablespoons of soap powder
  • Zest of 3 lemons
  • 2 fluid ounces of alcohol vinegar

Preparation:

  1. Begin by pouring 4 cups of water into a pot and bringing it to a boil along with the lemon peels. Once it reaches a boil, let it simmer for about 5 minutes to infuse the water with the lemon aroma.
  2. While the lemon water is simmering, grate the 2 bars of soap.
  3. After 5 minutes, remove the lemon peels from the water. Reduce the heat and gradually add the grated soap zest. Stir as you add the zest to ensure thorough mixing. It may take a while for the soap to melt completely, so be patient.
  4. After about 20 minutes, add the soap powder and continue stirring.
  5. Once the soap powder has dissolved, add the 10 tablespoons of sugar while continuously mixing.
  6. Finally, add the 2 fluid ounces of alcohol and 2 fluid ounces of alcohol vinegar. If desired, you can also add a coloring agent, such as yellow or green.
  7. Turn off the heat and pour the soap mixture into a soap mold or any suitable container. After about 6 hours, you can cut and shape the soap as desired.

Important: Allow the soap to sit for approximately 5 days before using it to ensure it cures properly.

With your homemade lemon soap, you can confidently wash all types of clothing, whether they are black or colored, and enjoy the benefits of a high-quality laundry soap.
