Hamburger Casserole

This hearty Hamburger Casserole is a classic comfort food that is easy to make and sure to please the whole family. With layers of ground beef, veggies, cheese, and pasta, this casserole is a filling and satisfying meal that is perfect for any day of the week.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned and cooked through.
  3. Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is soft and translucent.
  4. Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Cook the elbow macaroni according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  6. In a 9×13 inch baking dish, layer the cooked macaroni, followed by the ground beef mixture, and then the shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
