In this article, we’ll delve into a family recipe that has been passed down through generations, drawing from traditional healing methods. This potent elixir employs dried fruits as its main ingredient and is laden with essential vitamins and antioxidants to bolster your immune system and combat hostile microbes.

The Natural Cough Remedy Recipe

This tried-and-true recipe, passed down from generations, originates from the repertoire of my Polish grandmother. It harnesses the power of dried fruits and other natural ingredients to create a formidable natural antibiotic. Here’s what you’ll need and how to prepare it:

Ingredients:

  • 5 dried figs: Figs tone the intestines and support digestion, thanks to their high mucus content, which is ideal for soothing irritated mucous membranes.
  • 5 dried dates: Known for being a rich source of vitamin C and B vitamins.
  • 5 prunes: Prunes help reduce inflammation and promote gut health.
  • 1 tablespoon of roasted sesame: Sesame seeds are known to combat inflammation and boost the immune system.
  • 1 cinnamon stick: Cinnamon is multifaceted, with antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties.
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cloves: Cloves offer similar benefits to cinnamon.
  • 350 ml of hot water
  • 2 slices of lemon: Lemons are an excellent source of vitamin C.

Method of Preparation:

  1. Thoroughly rinse the figs, remove the stems, and cut them into small pieces.
  2. Rinse the dates, remove the stones, and cut them into smaller pieces.
  3. Wash the prunes and cut them into suitable pieces.
  4. Gently toast the sesame seeds in a dry pan until golden.
  5. Mix the chopped dried fruit, toasted sesame seeds, a pinch of cinnamon, and some ground cloves in a pot.
  6. Pour hot water over all these ingredients and add a few slices of fresh lemon to the mixture.
  7. Let the mixture stand and infuse for approximately 1 hour.
  8. After this time, remove the lemon slices and transfer the finished medicine to a sterilized container.

Dosage:

This natural medicine is recommended to be consumed 2 to 3 times a day. It’s ready for consumption an hour after production, but if you let it stand overnight, its consistency will become thicker. In addition to the juice, you can also consume the dried fruit used in its preparation.

A natural cough, cold, and inflammation remedy can be an excellent alternative for those seeking effective solutions without adding chemicals to their bodies. Give this proven recipe a try and unlock its numerous benefits.
